Tips:
**Units in the Culebra Beach Villas are privately own, please do not remove bath towels, kitchen utensils, pans and pots, or any other articles from the villa.
*Culebra Beach Villas is not a hotel, each villa is privately owned. Housekeepers clean each villas before every check-in and after your checkout.
* This is a tiny island and Culebra Beach Villa has a limited amount of cleaning staff, please be nice to the staff, they are working hard to get each villa ready on time. Check-in is after 4:00pm. Early check-in can be provided upon availability.
*Bath towels and bed linen can be exchange for clean ones every 3 days.
*Beach chairs are available to rent at the Front Desk office.
*Bring bug repellant for mosquitoes and beach no-see-ums, you will be surrounded by nature so in the evenings they might come out.
*Culebra Beach Villas do not provide beach towels due it’s fragile laundry system (salt and sand can damage the machines, and being in a small island we have no machine repair stores)
*Culebra Beach Villas do not provide beach umbrellas. Contact us to rent these items and more from a third party.
* Around the property there are chickens and other birds, cats, iguanas, and white tail deer (mostly in the evenings).
And although we fumigate the property and surrounding areas every month, some of the common insects and bugs you may encounter in this area (and the entire Culebra island) are mosquitoes, ants, flies, bees and Palmetto Bugs (they generally are not common inside homes). The Culebra Beach Villas are nested in a natural reserve location!
Culebra, and specially this property in Flamenco Beach, is surrounded by raw nature. Mother Nature wins here, and we love it. I advise any guest reading this to avoid leaving food crumbs and trash around, also making sure not to leave doors and/or windows open if you want to keep bugs from coming in. We live in a lush tropical island surrounded by lots of animals (including insects) who share this tiny paradise with us.
*There is no big stores or convenience store in the Culebra Beach Villas. The closest grocery store is 3 miles from de complex and it’s called Costa del Sol near the airport. Grocery Stores in Culebra tend to close between 6:30pm to 7:30pm (See more info on my guide book)
*Don’t forget your sun block!
*Due to remote location, WiFi can be disrupted occasionally due to faulty weather or else.
*And remember, we will be available for any questions.
NOTE: Puerto Rico and Culebra have been experiencing intermittent power outages due to repairs being made to their main power infrastructures. Typically for Culebra, power outages do not last that long since the island has its own power generators that turn on when the main power grid fails.
